Health Resolutions for 2014

What were your Health Resolutions [HR] for 2013. Forgot? Do not worry. Now make some HR for 2014 and follow them.

Some suggestions for HR 2014 are listed here. You may just choose one if you think you can’t take more than one. The success is in achieving it and sustaining it.

SUGGESTIONS FOR HR 2014:

1. Stop smoking

2. Stop tobacco chewing

3. Reduce weight (you will get rid of many health problems)

4. Get yourself medically checked (the annual medical check)

5. Be physically active (do regular exercise)

6. Have 20 minutes of sunshine daily (to increase Vitamin D levels)

7. Eat less white sugar and products made from it

8. Eat less of fried foods, butter, samosas, vada-paav, etc.

9. Eat fresh fruits and cooked/uncooked vegetables

10. Take alcohol in moderation; also avoid its daily consumption

11. Reduce intake of junk food to just once a week (let’s face it – we all eat junk food, but now reduce it)

11. Be happy with what you have, what you are. (This does not mean you stop to strive for more, but not at the cost of personal happiness)

13. Be social (have friends, empathize with others, help the needy)

ONE OR MORE OF THESE WILL TAKE YOU CLOSER TO WELLNESS AND FAR AWAY FROM SICKNESS. It will help not only to add years to life but also add life to years.
