How to stay fit during a vacation

Let not the vacation snatch away the fitness level that you are used to.

You can keep yourself fit while on a vacation by indulging in the following;

1. Walk: Explore the new place by walking as much as you can and take local transport (taxi, bus, tram, train, etc.) if absolutely necessary.

2. Use nature as gym: If close to a beach, swim or indulge in any water sport. If in a hill-station, walk.

3. Try local stuff: If vacationing in India, try yoga. In China, tai chi and in Spain, try flamenco.

4. Dance: If there is a disco or a dance bar, dance; but drink within limits.

5. Eat/drink smart: Avoid too much refined sugars. Have high-fiber, low fat diet. Make sure you take enough protein. Drink plenty of water rather than aerated drinks.
