Raisins, the new health snack
Raisins (Kismis or Munakka in Hindi language) are well known in being effective in the treatment of constipation. What is not known about raisins is their beneficial effect on practically every system of the body.
In fact, raisins are the new health snack food because of their immense health benefits.

1. Increases supply of energy while managing weight – Raisins are good sources of energy (as they contain fructose and glucose). Raisins are also something to bulk up your body to a certain weight. Thus, they form a part of the diet for athletes or body builders who need a lot of energy.
2. Bone Health – Raisins contain Calcium and is one of the best sources of Boron, which is necessary for proper bone formation and absorption of Calcium. Boron, in particular is helpful in preventing osteoporosis due to menopause in women as it is beneficial for bones and joints.
