Tiredness: reasons & remedies

If even a good night is making you feel tired the entire day consider the following:

  1. Dehydration
    • Drink enough water (making sure urine is colorless)
  2. Thyroid disease
    • Check thyroid and if low take medicines lifelong under medical supervision
  3. Anemia
    • Check hemoglobin. Eat iron containing foods
  4. Emotional stress
    • Learn to manage stress
  5. Sedentary lifestyle
    • Be active
  6. Adrenal fatigue (chronic fatigue syndrome)
    • Fatigue that remains after even after good sleep. Be active, eat nourishing foods, take multi-vitamins
  7. Depression
    • Have realistic expectations, check hormones, manage stress levels, expose to sunlight
  8. Sleep quality
    • Be active. Exercise. Have a fixed sleep time
  9. Poor diet
    • Have nourishing diet. Avoid junk foods

These are just pointers in case you have tiredness – if you do not improve trying the suggestions as above, I would recommend seeing your doctor so that a more focused treatment can be prescribed without losing time.
