Universal flu vaccine

A universal flu vaccine may be a reality soon. In the US, scientists have developed a universal flu vaccine that can protect against many strains of virus.

Senior study author Jeffrey Ravetch said, ‘Our experiments show that by including modified antibodies within the vaccine it may be possible to elicit broad protection against many strains simultaneously’.
