Vitamin D for vegetarians

If you are a vegetarian, and leading an indoor life, it could be a bit difficult to get sufficient vitamin D to maintain optimal bodily functions.

And since the role of vitamin D is also preventative, one has to make sure that enough vitamin is going in to the system.

If sufficient sun exposure is not possible, having vitamin D supplements in the form of a pill (tablet) is the only answer.

Your doctor will be able to advice you on the amount of vitamin D to be taken depending upon your symptoms or levels of vitamin D in your blood.

Being a fat soluble vitamin do not self-medicate as toxicity can develop in case of overdose.
